Andrew Saur graduated at the top his class from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in Graphic Design in 1999. He received Departmental Honors and Magna cum Laude status while earning his degree.

With over a decade of design and art experience, Saur has exhibited his work around the world. He and his wife, Angel Sarkela-Saur, have pioneered an art movement by creating fine art using coffee as the medium, Coffee Art®.

Saur grew up on Lake Superior’s rugged North Shore in the town of Two Harbors, Minnesota where many Scandinavian immigrants arrived over a century ago because the area reminded them of their homeland. Saur often thinks about his Nordic ancestors and their explorations, and incorporates these ideas into his art.

Saur has traveled multiple time and exhibited his art in Scandinavia, presented his art to the Icelandic Ambassador to the United States, the President of Finland, Tarja Halonen and the King of Norway.
